I have an older client who has been ready to through her computer out because of the long wait times.
I have tried to connect with Rogers, but to no avail.
I like to work with my clients computers in my own residence, so client is not readily available, to answer roger's questions.
Here is the issue:
I use my clients computer, I connect to the roger's "speedcheck.rogers.com" using my satillite connection.
RTT: 1053 ms
Download; 2.88MbPS
Upload: 0.35 MbPS
I disconnect the satillite and connect using the rocket stick:
RTT:352ms
Download: 0.12 MbPS
Upload: 0.04 MbPS
The signal strength is 3G (three dots)
The device is a Nokia, version 1.2.127.3, Firmware CS-18R1.10.
I further performed a ping test to the roger's home page:
ping rogers.com
on the Rocket stick the ping request timed out.
Using the satillite connection;
ping rogers.com
Average =966ms
(this is reasonable for a satilliet connection.)
I then did a "traceroute" or tracert.
With the satillite connection I get 12 hops to the destination.
With the Rocketstick doing a tracert the request timed out on the 9th hop.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
